Stephen C. Midouhas AIA - Principal/Owner
Steve Midouhas is an AIA-award winning architect whose firm, Midouhas Architects, focuses on designing beautiful modern homes, primarily located on, or near, the sea. Each home is a personal expression of the values and lifestyle of the families his firm serves. His long time relationship with Long Beach Island’s history of modern homes informs his work. He strives to continue the excellent tradition of the contemporary beach house.
Wind & Sea Construction, the firm’s construction arm, builds the majority of these homes, creating a seamless link between the design and construction process. His expertly curated team of master craftsmen achieve the highest standard of technique, producing nearly flawless construction.
Since establishing his architectural practice, his firm has provided comprehensive architectural services for over 300 projects in numerous building types including residential homes, churches, private schools, governmental buildings and commercial projects.
Steve holds a degree in Environmental Design from The Philadelphia College of Art, a professional degree in Architecture from The New Jersey Institute of Technology and also a National Council of Architectural Review Boards (NCARB) certificate. He is a longstanding member of the American Institute of Architects. Steve is also an educator combining his experience as Architect, Planner, Environmental Designer, and Construction Manager in various courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Finally, he enjoys travel that is focused on art and architecture, from which he finds inspiration. In his spare time he also does art, photography and ceramics.
