The HC Beach House was a major renovation of a 100 year old house completed in 2013. Additions included a kitchen & interior stair addition, decks, exterior stairs and a large outdoor shower. Though one of the oldest houses on Long Beach Island, it may be the most sustainable houses, as it is powered by a large solar electric array, and is heated and cooled by a geothermal system.
